hello, I've just got my ath-m50 and wondered if after the 40 hour burn-in I would get "punchier" bass?

If not, which portable amp would you suggest me to buy for it?

The m50's impedance is 38 and the volume is enough w/o an amp.
My player is Sansa e250.

Thank you very much.

The bass probably won't change enough to satisfy you if lacking now. I suggest FiiO E6 or FiiO E11 amp for your application and use the bass boost EQ functions. E6 will certainly boost the low end however E11 will provide much more power and two dedicated bass boost EQ's which work on the sub-bass mostly.

what's sub bass?
and what's the other pros in buying the e11?

Sub-bass sounds are those below 60 Hz and extending downward to include the lowest frequency humans can hear, typically 20 Hz. In this range, human hearing is not very sensitive, so sounds in this range tend to be felt more than heard.

The advantages will offer more power, increased sub-bass, and possible improvements in soundstage and dynamics.

Basically, if you want those ATH-M50 to rattle your brain to pieces, buy an E11.
