Hey, I got the Skullcandy "Titans" ($20) and am curious... what are some earbuds that are better than this that are 20 or lower, if any? I think that they sound pretty good for the price, but I also know that everybody on here seems to hate Skullcandy with a fiery passion of a thousand suns, so... what do you suggest in this price range? If they could get some good bass, that would be great too.

i dont "hate".. problem is that there are better iems you can buy at that price range.

Fx101   If you want thundering Bass, good mids and highs
Phillips 3580;   more balanced sound, with a very good subbass and good mids and highs
Fx40:  cristal clear clarity, details,  in my opinion they are the best under $20.00 (from the ones that i got)

Any of these sounds WAY better than those SK... its not hate, its a fact.    You can buy them all and check for your self, whe are just saving you time and money.

I remember I've been told to stay away from eBay when buying IEM's. Are these legit?

I wouldnt trust those comments in amazon,  most dont even know that iems comes with diferent tips sizes they must think that they are replacements,  if they are not getting enough bass its beacuse they dont have a propper seal.

Yes, the 3580 has bass for an iem, they got bass.

yes, the cord makes noise if you move it,  most noticeable when the volume is low or no music at all, but its not that bad.  The cable doesnt tangle at all, other than some noise there is no other issues with build construction o quality.

these are cheap iems, so i doubt there are counterfits.  maybe they are cheaper beacuse of this:
Condition OPEN BOX NEW, ITEM IS LIKE NEW! Packages have open to create a bundled pack and to save on shipping, but items are in new condition.

Dont know if its a legit seller.

Thanks a for your personal experince input. I'll definitely consider these IEMs now, since you guys all agree on it's quality. I wonder if I can pick these up at walmart or something, that would be nice, they're only like 10 bucks!  Is it really going to be a big improvement over the Titans, at half the cost???

I'm the guy who reckons that these can rival $200 IEMs with the right EQ tuning:

So yeah, I reckon they will beat your titans.

And yes, they've got bass.  Gobs and gobs of skull pounding subbass if you're got the seal right.  After all, its measured frequency response PEAKs at 20Hz, the lowest audible frequency!
