Hi everyone!
I'm not a headphones lover, since when going around I just use my IEMs, but lately I realied that after studying for a while they are a little annoying and at least for home use I've decided to buy a pair.
The main problem is that since i space from Rock to Metal to sometimes movies soundtracks and ambient music, alternating from singers and instrumetal stuff, I'd prefer something balanced or just a little warm-sounding. Well, Grados are there and perfect... If it weren't for the problem that they're open. It seems that most closed headphones are bass-oriented and for something a bit more mature there's some scarcity under the 200$ (or 150€) tire. I need my headphones to be closed, since rarely I'm in complete silence and I don't like the idea of bothering other people who are studying anyway.
After some researches I've found some good sub-150€ alternatives and I really can't figure out which would be better:
1) Marshall Major III / Marshall Mid (ANC, maybe)
2) Sennheiser HD569 PRO
3) Sennheiser momentum 2.0 over ear
1) It loooks like they're good for their price, cable-only major III are even just 60€. There aren't many reviews and I don't get if they're too recessed in Mids, which sounds weird for some rock oriented hp, but that's what I've read.
Also, afraid since they seem on a lower level compared to the other choices.
Mids are a little pricier (125/150€ depending on the model), but the active isolation, though not perfect as I've read, might be useful.
2) They're there. They're 150€. Reviews are good but nobody seems entirely convinced
3) I've found them on ebay, android version sold for new at just 150€. This Should seem the DEAL, according to what I've seen, but I'm afraid I won't be able to buy them since I need to wait sometimes to have the money anyway.
What would you do? Do you have any suggestion in the 50-150€ range? It's easy to get lost and I definitely am. Note that I would use them from my phone (S7 now, S10e from this black friday to black friday 2023) and laptop (acer swift 3). No amp.
Thank to everyone who managed to read everything
