i have an asus xonar essence stx card and i'm planning to buy the krk rp5 "rokit 5" g2
these krk's have balanced inputs and rca, unbalanced input.
as my stx only has unbalanced, rca outputs, i would just do stx (rca) >> (rca) krk's
the cable will only be 1.5m long

is this a good idea or would i probably hear the humming sound which some people experience?
if you think it's a bad idea please suggest me another solution which doesn't cost hundreds more...

thanks in advance

Yes it shouldn't be a problem, as you mention the cable length isn't that long, and while unbalanced is prone to more interference doesn't necessarily means it will ad a hum to your setup.

There are however options to convert the RCA unbalanced signal to balanced XLR/jack plug thru a line level converter. How effective it is im not sure of though.

Price ranges from 40usd and up.

But no need to look into that until you tested your setup.
