I recently returned to my pair of Bowers and Wilkins P7 (original, not wireless) after a long absence, only to discover that the left channel is not working. Switched cables, plugs, etc. but the left persistently fails. I haven't been able to discern how to open up the cup beyond that first magnetic layer. Is this even a user-serviceable issue, or do I need to contact B&W? I'd be grateful for any guidance anyone can offer here.

You will need to resolder the cable points inside the P7, but any electronics repair store can do this and will very likely be cheaper than B&W repair fees.

yeah, I was hoping to avoid having to do the B&W thing. I just can't figure out how to open them beyond the first level of just taking off the magnetic earpad.
