My guess/hope is more like the K-1000/Myshere sound with some more bass.

The dips in the high frequencies might not be ideal, but it seems the distortion is pretty low and the dips can easily be fixed with EQ.
I am tired of waiting for Sennheiser HD900, and do not know when an upgraded version or non-drop of OAE will be released, so just pulled the trigger and ordered my one

Would people say its closer to HD600 , XS edition, in terms of sound?
Obviously this would be a blind buy, but just curious what would be the competitors for this set?

I think I can see the complaints about the treble now.

It may not be a "peak" per se but the elevation at 3-4.5k is pretty crazy relative to the rest of the FR. How that manifests and sounds is a different story.

I'm not one that feels like graphs can tell you the whole story (and that goes both ways; a great looking graph can sound off to an individual despite the measured performance on a rig).

I would not pay much attention to measurements, especially with a headphone having offset and angled drivers, at this point references are little to non existent.
