Avoid Internet Explorer 6.5

flipzter,

Firebird isn't "installed" like other programs. So it will not load as fast as IE. It basically runs as a process within the folder which has the Firebird program.

I find that IE with cable will run faster than Firebird with cable. But Firebird with dial-up works faster than IE with dial-up.

What I really like about Firebird is the ability to control+ to make the type bigger or control- to make it smaller.

others like the "tabbing" whereby temporary links are assigned to the bottom bar for quick access.

I use Firebird & Thunderbird, as I don't like the idea of my browser being tied in with my email contacts. It's like tying IE with your folder views. anyone who piggy backs on your connection may be able to see what's on you hard drive.

am downloading that KMellon browser. As it is I like Firebird more than Mozilla. My favourite is still Konqueror on Linux, though.
