I was looking for the Creative EP-630 for a while in Australia and couldn't find them. As luck has it, I was in Tandy (Sydney) with a friend helping him finding something when I saw them. They are priced AU$32 (CX300 is AU$75). They might be in your local Tandy or DSE too

^ Lots a microphonics. But it's bearable if you're used to it (everything, is

^ No microphonics if you wear them upside-down with the cord going behind your ear

It really depends on your ear. I personally couldn't have them fit with the loop method, even with my horrible sounding comply mod.
Then again, it should be possible, though there might be a small risk of the driver unit dropping out.

Much better IMO, even though EX51/71 cost more. For that price, you simply can't beat them. As far as I concern, I didn't detect any microphonic after 3 hrs of listening.

I can't use my CX300's a-la-shure either. I think it's because these wont go as deep as true IEM's. They just fall much more easily. And no, I wouldn't use them while exercising because of the microphonics. On the other hand, if you really do get usede to that then why not

I found a Creative **-635 (** because I can't remember the exact letters) in a DSE store. Is that the same or similar item?

Following my discovery at Dick Smith:
Creative EP-630
Creative EP-635
I have searched around for differences between the two but still am not sure what exactly they are. Can someone kindly explain to me? I'm interested in dipping my feet into the IEM world and this looks like a good chance.
Thanks!
