Ausdom ANC7 Active Noise Cancelling Bluetooth Headphone Impressions Thread+ Global Review Wanted

I'm not at home at the moment, but mine artived before I set off. On first listen it seemed pretty well balanced tonally, although the NC did as someone said, reduce the mids and push up some part of the bass.

Range of the Bluetooth seemed really good and the signal was rock solid and NC noise struck me as very low. Nice build and comfortable, so my first impressions were really positive.

I'll give it a good listen when I get back.

Been using it on and off, and I STILL haven't run out of battery yet. This is the battery out of box. What is this madness lol?

Also, if anyone has HM5 pads, can you try replacing the pads? If its a positive change I will order a pair to test myself :)

Same here - I was waiting for them to die. They still haven't - will see how they hold up during transportation. Did some BT range testing today - they have a pretty good range, I was able to walk across the whole dining hall without losing connection. I can't figure out how to switch the pads, but I do have some modded HM5 pads that I can use if someone can tell me how you're supposed to remove the stock ones.

you can pull on the pads, and you should be able to see the clips holding them in place. tug a little and the clips let go, and pressing them in will result in clicking noses, meaning they are placed correctly.

once you take out the pads, you will seem mounted on a frame, and its as easy as pulling the pads off and installing the HM5 pads

I have been using it every day since unboxing it, and IT IS STILL AT 50%. This is the charge OUT OF THE BOX. How? How is this possible? Can someone explain to me how this headphone is breaking the laws of physics? lol

These are on my list of 'phones to get and test since I'm currently evaluating Bluetooth headphones with active noise cancellation. So far I have the Sony MDR-ZX770BN, which are very comfortable but with "meh" ANC, and Parrot Zik 2.0, which have the best ANC short of Bose QuietComfort 25, but which can become too tight on my head after about 45 minutes.

Got mine today, very impressed with the design and sound quality. The bass is not as boomy as that of the M05, but much more realistic and pleasant to listen to. The Mids and Highs are presented very well, too. Noise cancelling works fine, but there could be some unpleasant wave sound while noise cancelling is on. Not a big issue, but still noticeable. The ANC 7 are definitely one of the best pair of Bluetooth headphones under $200.

One that I find impressive is the Sony mdr-100abn which works with wire + NC if you want it or without as a standard closed headphone. Without wire using Bluetooth with or without NC. So there are the same options as the Ausdom, but the NC is on a par with the qc25 having extremely low noise and very effective at knocking out external noises. It has a good frequency response as well.

The Ausdom is a good buy and offers the same facilities as the Sony though at half the price.

That's pretty high praise on the NC evaluation -- of the Sony MDR-100ABN, I take it?  I am skeptical that the Ausdom ANC7 would be on par with the QuiteComfort 25, though if they are, I would certainly buy them in a heartbeat!

For me, the NC is alright, but nothing crazy. It drones out low frequency humming in the background, and works best when music is playing. But when ANC is activated while listening, it scoops out the mids and rolls off the highs a bit. I kind of like that for some EDM tracks so its not a bad thing :P

My ANC7 finally just died now, am charging it for the first time. This is the first on ear headphone that I have found to be comfortable.

Soundwise, they are really darn good. And not just for wireless. They sound possibility inspiring when run in wired mode, but this headphone has me questioning my priorities in this hobby. I find myself picking the convenience of wireless over pure sound quality more and more everyday. The ANC7 sounds good enough that I don't feel I am missing out on much.

Well its not in the same league as my open backs or hybrid iems, but what it does, it does very very well. I freaking love this thing and I can wholeheartedly recommend it in a heart beat.

The first night I got these, I had my mom try these on with a spotify playlist featuring sounds of rain and thunderstorm and her mind was blown quite a bit.

And I would say that the soundstage on the ANC7 is some of the best I have heard in a closed back as well. Very very wide and spacious as well. These are NOT your typical consumer tuned headphones. With a light more tweaking, in wired more it will be able to go toe to toe with ANY closed back <$200.

@Gracesheng  Ausdom has done a fantastic job tuning this! My regards to them :)

Sorry, I wasn't being clear. The Sony is on a par with the Bose qc25, not the Ausdom. Worst part about the mdr-100 is that they don't sound as good with the NC switched off, but then again the same goes for the Bose. NC hiss is at a minimum and it kicks in really effectively.

With the Bose, Sony and the Ausdom, sound goes thicker once the circuit is switch out.

I agree. The timbre of the Ausdom is pretty good and it gives a fairly balanced sound.

I also like the convenience of not having wires and don't mind a sound drop for the convenience. Perhaps one day, there will be a technology that will provide top quality too. Great for podcasts and wandering around the house. I also take the source into consideration since there's not much point listening to a low res MP3 podcast on headphones with high resolution really.

For better quality though, wired is better in reality.
