Glad you got your M2s back. How does it compare to mojo ?

both sounds warm and engaging.

the m2s sounds more upfront and layered. its more wholesome overall.
when i changed to mojo, i missed the aune m2s so bad, theres nothing quite like it. its very different, even i say the mojo sounds good, theres something in the m2s thats something to be missed and to liked about.
the mojo's sound is more bigger in presentation, more width, more height. more  separation of the overall presentation of instruments.
the m2s has more depth, and layers. it has more organic sound and mid bass is good to give some fun and punch to the presentation.

anyway, its a matter of preference and what you need in the end.
a good sounding standalone dap or a good sounding dac amp but needs to be stacked.

mojo's battery is greater of about 1 or 2 hours.
aune m2s can be enjoyed at 5-6 hours only maxed.

and the good news on the aune is...
there will be a NEWER model to be released. it will be named AUNE M2 Mk2.
i was told by aune that it will support the HDMI micro out. the current m2s wont be supported anymore, what a let down, but still a great news!
i know it may take time more some time to do it and create it, but  while i wait for the newer model, ill just sit back and relax and enjoy my AUNE M2s for now. :)

everything sounds good on my mojo.
specially dynamic driver fx850 iem.
no matter what gears i thrown at it, it sounds good on the mojo.

however on the aune m2s, theres synergy between gears.
my beyerdynamic t50p headphone doesnt sound good with it.:(
but all my iems sounds good with it.

aune just gave me the latest firmware update for the m2s.
i didnt noticed any difference from before... anyway its good knowing they are not leaving the support for this great dap.
i hope they will still continue giving more improvement on its UI and performance :)

Just got mine, great amp but it seems the file manager will only read so far down a directory tree, so I will have to re-arrange my music library so that all audio files will be read.

Oh man new firmware and a new model soon to be released. Im curious if there might be an exchsnge program for those who purchased the m2s. My unit sent out repair should be getting back into the states by this week and hopefully in my hands again by no later than next. I cannot wait for the sonic bliss to take me away

I highly doubt there'll be an exchange program. We just have to jugdge it ourself whether the newer version is worth the upgrade or aint.

I too have and installed the latest 1.23 firmware on my M2S. According to the log there's should be improvements on file readings and organization .
So far I hear no SQ improvements on this firmware.

Based on Aunes track record with B1 Mark 2, they won't announce the M2 Mark 2, it will just eventually replace the current M2 in production/distribution, and they probably won't even change the name, which is annoying as you will then have to ask vendors to make sure your getting the newer version. Also based on their track record I think the sound quality will remain the same, and it will be functional improvements/features added on the Mark 2.
