The tour I'm arranging is starting on Monday, so whatever you want to do between you and Aune is good to go.

No it just means you need a separate converter for your digital signal. The Aune only acts as an amplifier, and a fairly good one at that.

Technically, yes, and so does 100% of other amps (not limited to headphone amps). The difference is in the level. Better amps loose less (some people prefer to call it 'more transparent').
