Eric

Really glad a picture was taken because I would never have known it was there going through the impressions thread.
I am yet to read a single impression on how the thing sounds (from canjam that is)!

Hi Arnaud,

He was there incognito, just to serve Audeze headphones.
There was neither the brand nor the name displayed.
This is a modest amp that hides well his play.
Yet, impressions other than mine on this modest amplifier exist well, in German at the moment.

Use of output transformers or not for an amp to listen a Stax SR-009 Headphone?
It could be the question, or at least discussing a alternative to make more pleasant listening to one of the best electrostatic headphones in the world.

To stay up to date, I have a question for those who participated in the last CanJam: which of these two combinations (and technological choices) do you most enjoy to listen for a SR-009 stax headphone?

And the solution provided by the Luminare?

We had to listen when CanJam; he was also there on the spot.

Okay, I admit it was not easy to go to Audeze stand with a Stax SR-009 headphones to listen to the Luminare amp; but with a little curiosity and insight .... No one has done (or attempt)?

Hey guys, wake up, you just missed a unique opportunity to listen to a Luminare at the CanJam, and compare it, if you want to do, to the others amps also present at the CanJam. Too bad for you.

Next place of possible listening to the Luminare, this time in Europe, at the High-end of Munich.

I love this thread and I love eric65. Not matter how much crap is flung in your direction you come back with the same undiminished enthusiasm, relentless confidence and a certain continental understated humour written in quirky English.
Gotta love dem French. I would have guessed head-fi's trigger happy mods would have banned you by now but I'm glad that you are going strong, same as the Sorbothane-guy.

How can anyone able to draw any reasonable conclusion when the source as well as cabling feeding both amps are not identical?  I declare my DIY T2 sound the best with the SR009, b/c I did compare it against the KGSSHVs, BHSE, SRM-727II, and KGST using the same source/cablings.
