Hey all,

I just purchased an HD2. Every so often when sound is playing, at random intervals, the sound output will have several 'pops'. The pops are at a slightly lower volume level than the music playing, but very audible. They last about 1-2 seconds and occur at about a 10Hz frequency. So during one second, i'll hear something like "pop pop pop pop pop pop pop pop pop pop". Although it's at random intervals, it seems to happen about once a minute.

I've tried using the included drivers, older drivers from VIA, and ASIO but the popping remains.

Anybody have any experience with anything like this?

I've turned off line-in both in directsound and in ASIO yet the popping remains.

Oddly enough, If i set the hardware buffer offset to 0ms in my ASIO4ALL control panel, the popping occurs almost all the time.

I've tried a different PCI slot as well.

I'm out of ideas.

Same symptoms in Ubuntu although at a slightly faster frequency... will test tomorrow on a different PC to rule that out and I guess I'll return it if it still does the same thing.
