I'd have to put 461 Ocean Blvd. at the top of the Clapton list.

And add

Van Morrison-Astral Weeks (I don;t care for him much but this is WOW)
Grateful Dead-American Beauty
Ryan Adams-Any album of his is awesome...especially the pre Cardinals stuff
Jennifer Warnes -My Famous Blue Raincoat (it was just re-released in 45rpm and is a classic audiophile record)
Neil Young-Live at Massey Hall (I can only say SICK)
Beck-Odelay
Rolling Stones-Beggars Banquet or Let it Bleed or Exile on Main Street
Getz & Gilberto
Buena Vista Social Club -Live at Carnegie Hall
Nirvana-Nevermind (maybe it's not that audiophile but it's awesome)
Robert Plant & Allison Krause
Led Zeppelin-Teh Song Remains the Same
Ricky Lee Jones-Pop Pop
Miles Davis-Kind of Blue QUIEX pressing (it's still around)
Bob Dylan-Nashville Skyline

I can always find more too...

Sara K, Water Falls: superbly recorded and great music. I keep recommending this! :)

Available on various digital formats and vinyl. The label is worth checking out for its other releases too, including some Direct to Disc stuff too.

Not hugely easy to get hold of though, because you have to order it from Germany and pay in Euros.

Several of Sara K. recordings can be purchased as downloads from HDTracks. I just bought the album Hobo in 24/96 digital audio and am downloading it now.

Jerome - I hope it's a good one!

When I originally got Water Falls, I was luke warm, but the stunning sound gives a big in-room feeling to the music and really gives the whole thing a lift: a stand-out record of 2008 for me..

They also have a DtD recording: I assume you've got a few. If not, try it (although it costs a mint). That sort of thing is as rare as hen's teeth and usually excellent and very different sound quality.

It is indeed a good one. There are a couple of questionable songs in terms of selection: like Brick House by the Commodores and Oh Well by Fleetwood Mac. But they do work in the context of the album. Kudos to the production. Sara's voice is a really nice fit with the spartan acoustic guitar arrangements and the sound quality is really top notch.

One of my favorite audiophile recordings is Henry Mancini's Music From Peter Gunn, reissued by Speakers Corner on 180g vinyl.
