Car stereos:

1. Old Lexus: Nakamichi, Pioneer (I think)and now Mark & Levisnon
2. Subaru: McIntosh
3. Audi: B&O
4. Lamboghini: was Alpine a while back, not sure who now
5. Volvo, I know they use DynaAudio speakers but not sure who makes their
deck/source

6. Bentley, I read where they are now using NAIM

Also I agree that Alpine still make some of the best decks and source units out
there.

I agree about the B&O in the big Audi's.

The Levinson in the Lexus 460 and ES350 sound real good to me. The ES350 needs damping material installed to sound its best.

The Lexicon in the Rolls/Bently and in the Genesis is real good.

The best I have heard for factory installed (not aftermarket) is the Burmester in the Porsche Panamera.

The pioneer dex pr99s has all the tech you will ever need. I wouldnt bother with the sony when you can get the pioneer. Only pioneer units id buy are the 99 and prs800 otherwise i like kenwood excelon dvd players that play the hi resolution audio. Capible of playing 24bit/192Khz media. The pioneer is like a audiophile cd player with an audiophile dsp built into one unit.
