Tonight I listened to music with the new solution suggested by m-i-c-k-e-y.
I tested for differences before my brain got used to the change.
The improvement is there.
It's hard to explain... it's like a beautiful sunny day that suddenly becomes clearer and brighter where the colours stand out more and break away from the background.
Thanks for the tip it's a great upgrade

Ho notato un rumore tipo crepitio quando riproduco con Roon (Qobuz) i file FLAC 192/24.

Lo fa solo con questa risoluzione nonostante tutte le impostazioni dell'HUB.

Vi chiedo se succede anche a voi o se magari non ci avete fatto caso. Per comodità vi dirò l'album in cui è più frequente.

I solved it. I moved the two 10Gteks by putting them in another position and now it doesn't do it anymore. Probably there was some interference before....

Precisely, IME, have those cracks if I don't have a good/solid connections with LAN/RJ45 connectors. Glad you have solved it.

Have Shelby Lynne's "Just a Little Lovin'" album but on DSD64. Tried some 24/192 materials right now, and don't have (anymore) such issues.

Good evening, everyone. I ask a stupid question but I swear I didn't understand.....
If on VOX DSD DIRECT is set to ON everything that arrives via USB or I2s is converted to DSD 256/512 right?
If so, another question: is it converted to 256 or 512?
If DSD DIRECT is set to OF, does it not convert to DSD?

DSD DIRECT ON: Convert to DSD 256/512 (depending on FW), "Direct" to output (Preamp/Volume function bypassed).
DSD DIRECT OFF: No conversion (depend on source), use Preamp/Volume function to output volume.

With VOX regardless of input. Well, in theory...

A little way back, I learnt that there were iterations in VOX due to component shortage/availability. So it depends.

For example mine (Initial production) on its current FW, w/ DSD DIRECT ON, upsamples everything only to DSD256 and sends direct to output bypassing volume/preamp function. Since I upsample everything from HUB to PCM705/768 I usually set in VOX, DSD DIRECT to OFF (no DSD) and set volume/preamp control to MAX (no dithering).

OK, thank you. But in theory when a DSD signal arrives at the Vox it should in (DSD DIRECT ON) not do a double conversion. Right?

Is it not the display on Vox shows the input data information not output?
So if it really converts to DSD we don't know exactly what it is... Since all outputs are analog. Noway to confirm if it is DSD or any other..
