Audiobyte Hydra Stack: Hydra.Vox + Hydra.Hub + Hydra Zap

@soundsausage
Hi, I have the same issue with yours. so how would audiobyte do the remote support to update the hub?
Thank you very much!
They'll ask you to install remote-access software on the computer that's connected to your Hub -- that lets them access the Hub itself. Just send them a support request describing your issue, and they'll provide instructions.

From Nicolae:

A small update on HUB, control app is online.

1. You can update the HUB to 1.05. | 1.04. | 1.06 | 1.30
2. and then update the android control app to handle the HUB.
3. You need to enter the hub IP for the first time manually into the app.

Let me know if works ok on you side.
iOS app coming soon.

Best Regards,
Nicolae

Recommendation (edit): DON'T UPDATE for now. Will lose your HUB Panel control for upsampling.
Ciao Mickey, how exactly should I enter the IP address manually into the application?
When I launch the application I don't have any possibility to change settings... the app is searching for devices then it kicks me out if not finding anything.

Any idea?

Need to update your app.
1. Go to Play Store
2. Searh "Audiobyte Hydra Remote"
3. Update App

Current version: 1.36 (fixed S/PDIF OUT PCM setting)
Date: Apr 13 2023

When opening it will ask "Do you have an Audiobyte HUB connected?" if so choose YES

Enter the IP address of your HUB found in your HUB Panel: Audiobyte Icon (upper Left) -> (i) icon (upper right).

Hello @m-i-c-k-e-y ,

I have the 1.36 version of the app but, unfortunately, it is not asking anything when launching it. It goes directly in 'searching mode' and then it kicks me out automatically (screenshot attached).

I tried to uninstall and reinstall it.
I also tried to install it on another device (Pixel 3XL)...but same behavior.

I have a pixel 6 telephone.

Any idea?

Hi,
Are you on the same network of the AudioByte equipments?
Does your WiFi allows you to access other devices on the same network, or do you have some client isolation security measure?
Kr,

Kr,
Yes, same network and no issues with wifi and clients discovering.
I also use Roon and other client/server based app.

What puzzles me is that the app didn't ask the following, on my 2 Pixels:

"When opening it will ask "Do you have an Audiobyte HUB connected?" if so choose YES"

Have you got the above question from the app?

Yes, instantly after updating the HUB, app was updated already.
But before i was already connected to the VOX and ZAP, was it working for you before? For that i think you need BT on.

VOX and ZAP uses BT, HUB use WiFi.

Sometimes to reset everything I unplug the power cable from the ZAP and reattach it again after a few seconds (when the logo disappears).
Don't if it will resolve issues. But that is what I do when thing hangs or something.

Nicolae confirmed that, currently, ZAP is required by the control app to work properly.

I have only the HUB, used in combination with Rockna Wd.

Nicolae promised to extend the app compatibility for non-Zap users in the next days.

Hi there,
i´m looking for a new DAC for my main system.
No Hub because I´m streaming via Auralic Aries G2 - just a DAC.

First i want to go with a R2R DAC but after seeing a Audiobyte Hydra Vox here in Classifieds stated in Europe i remember a test in Youtube from Sandru.

So a few questions:
I read about some issues here like the clicking noice if the DAC is changing the sample rate,.....
Are the issues all gone with some firmware update?
How long time takes it till the Super Caps have enough power?

Normally i´m switching off my system after the listening session and somethimes switching on after a few days or one week.

Has anyone of you compared it with some R2R DACs like Holo Audio Spring 3, May or perhape a Rockna Wavelight?

At the moment I´m using Delta Sigma DACs with ESS 9038Pro chips.

Thank You.
