what's the sound signature like? how do they compare with the ckm 99/1000? also, what's the difference between the ckn 50 and ckn 70?

I haven't heard the CKM99 or 1000, but the CKN50's sound pretty similar to the CKM500's. Very similar high end (crisp but not harsh), slightly fuller mids, and deeper, tighter bass (but less of it).

I'm really excited for the CKN70. The CKN50 is one of the best bang per buck IEMs right now, it competes well with IEMs 4-5x its price. If AT refines the sound a little bit, smooths out that spike in the treble and improves the cable, they will have something everyone on HF should look at.

@ Nyanman I wouldn't get the CKM99. It's an outdated model that doesn't sound as good as the CKN50. From memory the bass isn't nearly as tight and the treble is rougher.

Sweet! How do they compare to the mh1c and vsonic vc02? Would the ckn50/70 or ckm500 be better for trance?

I'll also like to know how CKN50 compare to MH1C if someone have them both?
BTW i love J-cord, it is so much comfortable for straight down use and it is one of reasons to be interested in them.

I had the MH1C's in the past, and IMO, the CKN50's are definitely an upgrade. Everything is so much more detailed and clear.

Hey there, glad to see you're liking the CKN50s. My friend has the MH1Cs and I get to hear them every now and then. I'll have to agree, the CKN50s are more detailed and clear. The bass is tighter, the highs have more extension, and they're more transparent. However the MH1C has smoother mids/highs and what is IMO an impeccably good sound signature. It's hard for me to say which of the two are better.

Yes, I can see why some people would like the sound signature of the MH1C. They're very smooth like you say. I guess it's just personal preference. I'm really enjoying the CKN50'S though. I'm sure the 70'S will be even better.
