Audio-Technica's New Multidriver IEMs: The ATH-IM Series

Do you guys think the prices will be lower than the CDJapan prices when/if they become more available? Right now, it looks like I can buy IM02 on CDJapan for only $20 or so more than the current asking price of the IM70 on ebay.

Also, any expected release or announcement date for the TE05s, because I plan on picking between those and one of these ATHs?

yes the should be lower when released. I think about 150-ish for im02 and under 100 for the im70

Looks like the Ath-im70 is the crowd favorite for the moment
On reflection I think it deserves a place in my collection just on price and innovation regardless of the outcome of my little contest
My only concern is how the 10 Ohm impedance will get on with my gear
A side effect of running the twin drivers in parallel, just a guess
Not sure what advantage there is in blasting one driver straight into the back of another but it is an interesting idea

It kind of reminds me of KEFs uniq driver, but definitely works on a different principle. I'll post quick impressions tomorrow!

My friends:

Loving the sound, warm, detailed.

Emphasis on mid bass and midrange. Treble has wonderful presence and sparkle.
