Not often but almost all their returns land in their outlet store after passing QC and or reconditioning. You just have to catch one when one lands in there.
I'm with A-T Canada, but report to U.S - our returns get refurbed at the same QC department and honestly, most of the time the stock comes as good as new.

Lovely deals indeed shared by previous user :)

Congratulations!

I bet a lot are itching to hear comparison between W2022 and L5000 - two very very differently voiced headphones :)

Same here, I would like to hear the W2022 sound described by someone that appreciates it.

Canjam SG just reinforced that the W2022 just isnt for me.

That being said the L5000 has become my next milestone to work towards owning. Since it ticks all the pleasure points of being relexed mildly warm with poisonous vocals that are precise and have lots of microcotrast esp with vocal extension and general string and brass roughness.

Not to mention its sounds so serene on the BHA100 that its hard to imagine they are headphones and sound more like freefield earspeakers.

As i said with the AWKT the L5000 has none of the dynamics are hyped but its like staring into the abyss with how every issue with the music is naturally pointed out to you without you wanting to rip the headphones out.

From the worst brickwalled j-core to the best recorded accoustic music the L5000 is just a joy.

Got the w1000z today and it’s literally brand new. The cable show no signs or hints of being unwounded and the headphone shows no sign of being used which led me to believe that this one came off a damaged packaging. Indeed a steal of a buy!

There's no denying tho that the w2022 is more of a heritage art piece more than anything and if I have the extra money to throw at it (which sadly I do not) I would love to have one in my possession.

I love the awkt, it literally kept the awas in it's box.

Very nice, does the headphone come with the stock packaging or is it just the headphone?

i don’t think the drawing on W2022 are boring at all, in real life photos it looks amazing to me. In fact, art just depends on how you identify it. People who love the drawing, will call it amazing, people who do not appreciate it, will call it “boring”.

Regarding the WB2022, I don’t see the reason of purchasing such expensive headphone for wireless bluetooth purpose. And if you have to use it on desktop, yes there are plenty of desktop are having usb C input port already. It’s 2023 now, PC that doesn’t come with a single usb C port are from the old days. Even the MSI desktop gaming PC I bought from 2019 have a usb C port on the front.
What I can say, is that I have two pair of the ATH-DSR9BT, picked them up for 70% off at Fry's during early covid; they were open box.. Cleaned them up, and they are superb!! So much, I went back and bought the last one for my son...
I'll bet these are by far the best "all in one" solution on the market..., and worth the price. If picked up at discount then awesome.. 👍

have a short tokyo run last week and saw 2 pairs of pristine, almost new looking (even the box and all the packaging) second hand WB2022 in e-earphones. it's a bit silly to buy wireless headphones with no ANC and just 9hrs battery life regardless of the price. it's worst when wb2022's asking price is the highest on the market today. but i demoed it again anyway as there's no other new stuff i wanna try. the sound was much better than my demo in fujiya-avic a few months ago (which still have new ones available now). i so happened was listening to my t+a solitaire T on that visit and a/b comparing both for 15 mins. i found wb2022 sounds better to me! it's a bit like the L5000 tuning but with the low end dial back a bit. very energetic, detailed and fun sound. i just got a pair of 2nd hand viking ragnar iem last week and the two sound a bit similar, while wb2022 has a even more spacious sound (unfair to compare iem to over-ears). there's just minimal passive isolation and i don't think it's good for for use walking around in the street or during travelling.

before demoed WB2022 at 4/f, i bought several cheap 2nd hand cables on 5/f of e-earphone and learnt that they offered 5% off for 2nd hand stuff on that day. struggling a bit, i was considering to buy acoustune ACT02 capsule originally but i already got act05 so i eventually dropped this plan and bought wb2022 instead. one of the deciding factor that drove me to make this purchase is wb2022 is the only wireless headphone i know that's made in japan (or the origin of the brand outside of china)! btw, it got a smart feature like mw4 that it turns on automatically when pull out of the case (and turning off vice versa). it connects to the ATH apps that i used for TWX9 tws too, which offers a 5-band EQ function amongst others (i didn't try).

the paper jacket over the box, the box itself, the zero halliburton case . . . everything just look amazing and super high quality made! the headphones itself look good too, but not distinctively better than wp900 which costs only a faction of wb2022. the alcantara headband and earcups are superb though! i prefer this material (same as that used in the onkyo SN-1 and many sports car trim) to leather or velvet.

edited: i took out my wp900 and put it side by side my wb2022. there're indeed quite noticeable difference on the quality of the flamed maple top. one fellow local headfiers calls the wb2022 "AAA flamed maple" while wp900 "AA flamed maple". seems at least part of the $ is going to places that making a difference :relaxed:

I’m a fan of the W2022 but not really into the WB2022, but the actual photos of the WB2022 are stunning! It really have the luxury feel of a high quality product should be.
the W2022 is a few levels more luxurious, as the price indicates :stuck_out_tongue: w2022 looks really good (and sounds great too) but i really can't justify a us$9000 headphone for myself . . .

I got my W2022 more for collecting purpose and it’s increasing value. Still seal in the box. Not gonna open it yet.
