Hey guys im trying to get some advice on which one to get. I currently have a pair of audio technica m30s and find them to flat and bland for my taste so im looking to upgrade. I listen to rap for the most part everything from classic nate dogg and bone thugs to stuff like this

Ill definitely look into those, im not exactly a "basshead" but the bass on my m30s is definitely lacking a bit. A lot of the rap I listen to has an electronic element mixed in with traditional rap bass. Its really hard to choose, just so much out there!

I have never been as impressed with the M50 as others. Having said that the 380 is a very tight and impressive sounding headphone with great clarity and the bass is very tight and impactful. If you have a chance you should listen to both to decide for yourself but if not I recommend the 380.

If your in Canada, you can get the 380 from Axe Music for $140 which is a very good price for that headphone.

Is it weird that I think the 380 isn't as impressive as some of senns lower end stuff? The build and sound quality IMHO is lower than the 280 and even a lot of the 4xx series personally.

Audio Technica ATH-A900X (closed) headphones.
Digbuy is selling them for $154.99, plus tax & shipping.
As they are around 40-Ohm, will work plugged into anything.
I paid $256 for mine

Any thoughts on the durability of the ATH-A900X versus the M50?

I think the A900X is durable enough, just do not abuse or step on them.
