Wow, that is a fantastic picture. It's all about the woody-love, baby!

(does the HE90 count as a woody?!)

Best,

Nice job man. Really like your review. Have you get any chance to compare them to the W2002 or L3000. I'm not sure whether you own either phones, but if you do....it will be very informative to know.

HE90 should be a monster (headphone) under woodie skin! But I guess that makes HF-1 a woodie with plastic skin.

Thanks, purk. I have started working on the W2002 review. But it's getting out of hand and it's probably going to be a prologue and a review.... I am studying up on the manufacturing process of Asadazakura housing and the Echizen lacquer... 1,400 years of lacquer history is fascinating/amazing!

p.s. Only wish someone send a pair of L3000 my way...hehe...

I think the L3000 is with me for the long haul... under its skin it's just another woodie anyway

But I seriously want to grab one of these vintage woodies if the opportunity ever arises. I always thought I would pick up a W100 - even though I like the look of these older models better - ever plan on getting a pair for comparison?

You mean getting a pair of L3000? I think it would happen either end of this year or early this year if they are still any hanging around the market?

Getting a pair of W100? You bet! I have my sight setting on a pair and it will be here within a month or so.

Great review Overlunge! Very easy to follow and so informative - can't wait to read more of your upcoming woodie reviews!

My impressions of the LTD are quite similar to yours. Very crisp and clean sounding, with nice bass. It wasn't as upfront and lively as the rs-1's, but it held its own quite well.

Kenny, nice pic man. When did you sneak those shots?

Can you send me the one of me wearing the woodies?

Wow, guess you're gonna have to get a W1000 while you're at it to complete the collection. I think. Those are all the woodies, right?

Thanks, f3d0r4.

Besides Head-fi, there are many headphone forum sites in Asia which some of these W headphones can be found occasionally. Also Yahoo's auction service is another one.

Seek, and you shall find!
