Hello all,

I have been using these excellent headphones for a couple of years now to list to my Ipod Video 5.5 loaded with all my ripped CD collection which has been uploaded in Apple Lossless....... it all sounds just fine. But i now notice that you can pick up my headphones (brand new) for about £80 !!!

I listed to the usual kind of music, pop, dance, but love the acoustics of singers like Kate Bush etc..... i do not use them as professional monitors or using them when i DJ !!!

So is price the thing here..... just how much would i need to spend to '' notice '' i step up in my listening pleasure ?

I would think the Audio Technica ATH-A900X headphones (used $150-$160) would be a noticeable improvement over the ATH-M50s.
I added Hifiman HE Velour ear pads ($16) to my A900Xs.
