Do you mean AD700X or AD700?
The 700s are really bass light, it's a turn off for music and movies.
Get the AD900Xs.
I find my ATH-A900X (closed) headphone comfortable enough.

I never use my ATH-AD700s anymore, I like bass in my audio.

I like the way the A900X and AD700s grips my head, it's not a very tight grip, but the headphones stay in place, technially the AD700 are a touch more comfortable.
I guess some could describe them as barely enough grip.
To me the stock A900X pads are comfortable, I just bought some Hifiman Velour ear pads I'm going to install on to the A900X, heard they improve audio quality.
