I don’t know about the Storm, but Nimbus was about CDN$350 + shipping. I am looking at their website and thinking maybe price is not finalized yet.

So I’ve decided to jump the gun on a Nimbus 8+1 too and save some money from more expensive audio brands...hoping it’ll give me a surprise like how the JQ 8+1 did...

My understanding is that above model is targeted for a domestic market only and has 7BA. All international models will have the 8BA(Storm) and 8BA+1DD(Nimbus) configuration with the Knowles BA drivers. I will try to verify with them tomorrow.

edit: oh great, maybe I need to be a guinea pig for unproven driver counts and open up the Nimbus once it arrives here.. unless it sounds amazing and I don’t want to destroy it.

Now we just have to confirm* the driver counts. Yes carefully separating the faceplate to expose the drivers, then reattaching them would not be a huge problem. We got charged more, and should have the rights to know.

It seems my initial disappointment and my immediate response might prove invalid. Scrolling on XianYu at 3am opened up the pandora box for me lol
