Audio-gd NFB-1 (2015)
May 11, 2015 at 11:21 AM Post #76 of 84
I consider replacing my ifi audio idsd micro (I keep it for my work) with a NFB-1 2015 with TCXO options.

My amp is a Burson Soloist.

Did someone try this association and can describe the results.

For those who know the ifi audio idsd micro and the nfb-1, do you think nfb-1 is an improvement.

My main headphones are the LCD-2 Planar.

Thanks

Guy can someone tell me what's the difference between, other than digital inputs ?

I would like to hook up the DAC via toslink optical to my m-audio profire 2626 and use it for mixing/mastering duties. If just the digital inputs are the difference then NFB1s would be just fine for my purposes.

The difference is in the back panel. The older model has two optical and two digital coaxial.

Hi forum

I currently own both the NFB 11 and 15 (2014) versions. Both have full upgrades.

I am interested in the NFB 1 (2015) as a possible sound quality improvement. However, my current headphone amp, the Woo Audio WA6SE is single ended, not balanced. Hence, I am wondering if it would make sense to upgrade to a balanced amp such as an NFB 1 (2015) since I won't be able to use the balances outs?

Any advice welcome

Does anyone mind posting a pic of their NFB-1 2015 version without the lid on?
I'm trying to repair mine but there are no clear pics on the internet of the back wiring and there's something amiss with the way I put it back together. I'd greatly appreciate it.
I've tried many times to email the Audio-GD people but they can't understand me for the life of them due to them being chinese.
