Thank You!

I'm looking for some new furniture since this DAC is so gigantic and have insane depth.
Was at ikea today, but they dont have anything which is have more then 42cm depth...
I'd love to "hide" it away to get less dust etc.

Any tips?

Just ordered M7, DI2014 and Master 9 yesterday, spending all my savings...

Any recommendation for headphone updates?  The price of HD 800 is so firm (1500) while T1 has dropped to 900 on Amazon...

Forgive my ignorance... What do you mean by "mods" here?  Modify driver?

1) Change pads: either Hifiman's Focus (A) pads or Audeze Vegan pads
2) Fuzzor mod: apply felt on the inner magnets to damp/break reflections and create a wave guide.
3) Re-grilling: remove the cotton beneath the grill and change the grill to one with bigger opening (opt.)

Those mods are well documented in the HE-6 thread. You can ask for links over there if you can't find them yourself.
The pad change is trivial. The Fuzzor mod is easy but can take some time depending on how precise you want to be.

Thats not bad!

Ive noticed that the system volume & software volume went down to 48 when installing the driver.
Should I put it back to 100 or just ignore it?

Put it on 100!

Both the mod HE6 and Audeze 3F sounds great on my master 7+9.

Thank you! It is interesting how people find those mods can improve the sound. I have a HE-400. I think I can practice these DIY mods on it.
Just find someone is selling his HE-6 wish fuzzor mod. Tempting price...
