Anyone with an HE9 whose heard a master 9? Thoughts on the two ?

When I asked Kingwa that I was having a hard time choosing between HE9 vs M9.

This was his reply:

"HE9 already had our best technology built in, we can not have any new idea to improve it.
The HE9 had the point is sound more transparency and detail but not bright, and more analog, even the different is not as night and day.
Your current DAC with Master 9 is enough."

I ended up going with M9 (HE6 ver).

Interesting he said more analog since in the earphiles review they said it was dry sounding and not very analog. Wish I could hear them side by side. I don't blame you at all for going master 9. Its an amazing price for what you get and HE9 is quite a bit more pricey. Like $700 more?

There is a group buy currently being offered on the HE-350. It's not going to happen though unless more people e-mail Kingwa to sign up, so, please feel free to do so before the months' end.

100% agreed.

The difference is even bigger in preamp mode in my system.

Guys how good is the HE9 as a pre-amp? I am considering getting a power amp vs integrated and so far I feel he9 is great as a preamp but I have not compared it to other preamps.

The he9 is an excellent pre. The he1 is a little bit more neutral according to Kingwa. I have no complaints, other than the heat, it gets hot. In the summer, i turn it off every night.

It's has the same signature as a master-1 (my previous pre) but it is more resolved and analog. Has better depth too.

No. Pre have not evolved so much as far as i know.
