So my room is right next to the bathroom.  When I am using my headphones or speakers, and then someone turns on the bathroom fan, I'll get a POP in the headphone/speaker.  Does that cause damage to my equipment?  Please let me know if I can prevent it

You have electrical problems. You're looking for an electrician not a headphone guru.

Well its still related to my headphones.  But do you know if it causes damage?

Not sure, but I would get an anti-surge plugin extension. It'll save any potentially damage surges of power
