@Audeze Going back to the question about purchasing a Dolby Atmos license for the PlayStation version, I stream on an NVDIA Shield Pro that supports Dolby Atmos. I believe the device already has a Dolby Atmos license built in. Would I be able to get Dolby Atmos capabilities on the headset via dongle or Bluetooth? Or would I have to purchase an additional Dolby Atmos license for the headset?
You do not need a new Atmos license. Shield should convert Atmos content to binaural and you should be able to receive it using Bluetooth or Dongle. The elder shield units had audio output over USB, not sure about the current versions.

Not be be an alarmist but the one report of white noise has me concerned or has me on a hype check. The point of purchasing the PS5 version is to avoid pushing the volume so there’s no distortion or noise. I just hope it’s an anomaly on that one headphone or back it goes… I know there will be a lot of unhappy owners (forum meltdown) if this is a widespread issue.
This is probably side tone enabled. Double clicking the game-chat mix turns off the sidetone.

I must admit I don't have consoles, but I hope the white noise is something that gets ironed out quick since that its a pet peeve of mine.

The Shield TV supports Atmos over HDMI for speakers, but it does not have Dolby Access or Dolby Atmos for Headphones. It does support 5.1 audio over USB, however.

Does your answer still stand? It takes the Atmos metadata and does some "trickery"? 🧐

From Head-Fi's YouTube:

"The Maxwell is easily the best sounding purposed built gaming headset we have used so far"

So, throw away your LCD-GXs. 😉

Sounded like they had them in hand for awhile and were getting firmware refreshes direct from Audeze.

If it works like it does on PC you will get ATMOS on any stereo headphone as long as you have the Dolby Atmos license and the stream service supports it
