Got my mine today! First impressions are very positive.
Sound quality is such a step above any other wireless headset I have used. Bass is so detailed!
Range on the dongle or traditional Bluetooth to my phone is great, phone or pc in my bedroom can use throughout the house without any major loss of quality and no dropouts. Battery life is brilliant!
Mic is very good for a headset, but have a desk mic so don’t plan on using it.

Have a few complaints.
Comfort is the biggest one. Overall pretty good but I’m not a huge fan of thick leather pads, gets really hot after a couple hours. Guess that just preference really.
Main problem is I’m in-between sizes on the headband. Headband on the default size is slightly too small for my liking, too much pressure on the bottom of my ears. On largest, far too big. One on standard and one and large is slightly too big, lots of pressure on the top of my ears. Overall adjusting the size looks and feels terrible compared to like any other headphones I’ve used and have far fewer options than most. Just can’t get a sizing that is truly right for me.

Bluetooth priority on PC is mildly annoying. Auto connects to my phone and my PC, any notifications causes it switch to my phone. So i just discount my phone. Not really a big issue, just have to discount my phone each time I’m using the PC.

With all that said though there still miles above my current G pro X wireless in almost every way. Truly in different league for sound quality. I hate wires so higher end options are very limited and these having dongle plus Bluetooth makes them extremely versatile.
Even with the delays and the mild comfort issues still super happy with the product!
For the phone having notifications interrupt your PC sound you can silence or put notifications on vibrate and then they shouldn't interrupt you anymore. Works for me.

I've seen others say to use the headset on mix matched sizes to help with that issue. It's not an issue for me but maybe that would help you.

I'm with you on the fit, it's kind of awkward. The original setting was too big for me and my apparent pea-sized head  so I went to the lowest setting but felt the band quite tight across the top of my head after testing, so ended up settling with left-side on the middle setting and right side on the lowest setting, and it kind of works although it still feels a bit looser than I would like, but certainly better than the lowest setting, and still find it has a decent enough clamp force.

Give it a little while and I'm sure there'll be other options for earpads and headbands to replace the original ones. I'm also on mixed holes for the headband.

Removing the earpads is much much better than the Penrose too, they were a pain to remove.

Is there a way to adjust game/chat mix in game chat on warzone as mines greyed out in PS menu...I can do it in party chat just not in game chat

You can only adjust the mix on PS5 if you're in a party. It's not possible to adjust it unless you're in PS5 party for unfortunately

Yep - go into audio settings in the game and there's various settings Inc mic volume (your mic), chat volume (how you hear other people) etc.

Just be aware that as standard your mic volume is set to 100 in game which is waaaaaaaaay too high and for most people that'll mean your mic picking EVERYTHING else in the room, including game audio from the headset. Of course the Maxwell noise suppression should cancel that out, but you should still turn your mic sensitivity down to 50, or even lower.

Partly because its not real leather... :frowning2:

I really hope we'll se real leather pads/strap in the near future, should provide a nice extra income for Audeze as well.

Mine arrived today. A relief - I had my worries but 95% of them have been washed away. First impressions:-
  • Love how to looks in person, really nice design, colour.
  • Build quality is superb, every joint and button feels solid.
  • Sound - too early to tell, but so far very impressive. Like a Penrose but a tad better, certainly less shrill highs. No real flaws or issues that I can hear. Channels seem well enough balanced, if not perfect, as close to that it doesn't bother me. Don't feel like I'm missing anything coming from the superb (for gaming) wired HD560S's.
  • Mic is excellent - sounds slightly louder and less natural with sound suppression on, but with sound suppression on it still sounds better than pretty much all gaming headset mics. I think I'll be keeping it on low. Very natural mic in all modes - all tones of voice are recorded nice and evenly.
  • Comfort is good or pretty much as good as it could be for such a heavy/large headset. They sit on your head fine, the weight isn't an issue for me.
  • Wireless range - easily good enough for me anyway.
  • Usability - actually pretty good, I can switch EQ profiles, noise suppression, sidetone pretty easily after all. I shouldn't have worried about this.
Before I get to my downsides I want to stress, these are minor niggles. It really does feel like you are getting a $300+ set of wired planers with the gaming functionality (wireless/mic/dongle/amp/dac/etc) for "free". This is not how I felt about the Penrose - wireless range, highs, mic, build quality weren't as good as this. Downsides:-
  • Yeah with side-tone on there is a slight electrical crackling sound as others have mentioned, but it's very low volume, so low that some might not even notice it. Not something I really notice except for in dead silence, and something I've experienced on other headsets with sidetone. Maybe a firmware update could fix this, but who knows, doesn't bother me. And I'm happy enough with the UI that I can switch side-tone on and off and adjust the volume quickly and easily.
  • Due to their size and heft, I pretty quickly forgot about my plan to replace my AirPods Pros with these for when I'm on the move - they are pretty huge, and I would look faintly ridiculous out for a walk or on a bus or something wearing these.
I think I'll be keeping these, very happy.

Thank you...never even gave this a thought.... previously using A50s and because it used optical connection with adapter this could be done on the headset on the fly....no big deal though just a minor con for me

For people using it on windows for both gaming and general purpose, is there any sonic benefit to setting it to 24/96? What's the recommended solution? @Mad Lust Envy would greatly appreciate any input on this

I'm overall pretty happy with the headset too. I'm using wired with usb-c for work and mic quality is fantastic, and I also use the chat mix to mute or reduce volume on videos I'm watching in the background if I'm also passively listening in a Zoom/google chat meeting. At the same time I'm connected via bluetooth to a Samsung tablet that I use for personal stuff, remoting into my gaming/personal PC, listening to videos, and watching to Netflix or listening to LDAC audio sources (BTW, high quality sources sound amazing on the headset, like Tidal or Apple Music).

During the night I've been gaming with wireless audio on my couch with my PC and sound quality is fantastic, a huge step up from the Coolermaster mh670 headset that I had before, and the quality feels as good as if it was wired. Playing Resident Evil Village has been an amazing experience, and very comparable to playing full blast with my 7.1 dolby atmos soundbar/speaker setup, which I can't really use at night to play at a reasonable volume.
I've solved one of my only annoyances, which is that the usb dongle hijacks the wired audio during the day, by buying a usb hub that has individual power switches, so I can turn off the dongle without having to disconnect it, and I just turn it on when I game at night. Besides that I'm learning to adapt to the quirks of the firmware, but I'm overall happy with the behavior as is.

My only issue with the hardware is the sidetone crackling, but I don't really need it so I turn it off. I do agree that you can't really hear it if something is playing, but it's extremely annoying once everything goes quiet. Doesn't seem to be there with the beamforming mic, but you do pick up everything in the environment. I hope Audeze could implement some of their noise cancelling processing before the audio is piped back to remove the interference. Headset is a little heavy but the more you wear it, the more you adapt to it (and I guess the headset to you as the leather strap adjusts to your head contour). The ear pads are a bit hot, so I can see that being an issue in the summer, as I do sweat a lot. Hopefully third party pads will be available by then if it does become a problem.

It's different on PC. BT audio will prioritize over dongle audio. So if you're on the dongle, and playback a youtube video on the phone, the video audio will take over until you pause. As the BT audio is prioritize, I recommend disabling touch sounds or message tones, etc on your phones, so not to get interrupted every time you touch your phone. or check messages, etc.

Note that you may need to power cycle the Maxwell if the behavior changes.

Pixelcowboy: That is not the intended behavior, and may be a bug.
By Playstation vs PC, is that related to the switch on the dongle ? E.g. if i wanted the "BT call > Dongle > other BT audio" behaviour on a computer (e.g. Linux), can i achieve it with the dongle switch on "Playstation" mode ?

Fantastic impressions, thanks for taking the time for it. How do you reduce volume of only the videos and not everything else? I was thinking of having spotify or youtube videos play on chat output while having the game on the speakers output on the maxwell and using the chat mix to adjust the balance to taste. Is that even possible?

So after using these for a day it's been pretty good I think.

I noticed the noisefloor now but while it is noticeable it's nothing like the Penrose so it's a tolerable level and the best of all the top wireless headphones I've tried.

Can't use sidetone as it has very noticeable and distracting electrical noise at any level. It's unusable and shouldn't be sold as a feature if I'm honest, harsh but it is not pleasant. It was a good call to change sidetone to off by default on the latest firmware!

For the fitting of the headphones I'm not sure if I'm alone in this but they don't clamp as well as other headphones, I find them sliding easily from my head so gotta make sure I don't do any significant vertical movement, it's fine overall just thought it would clamp a bit better. I like the fixed positioning of the strap, I get there are tradeoffs but it's one less aspect to fail overtime as I've had many headphones with ratchet bands that start to fail.

The construction of the headphones seems solid, I can't fault it besides the volume wheels being wobbly.

Does anyone know the logic for the mic mute slider? It's not difficult to slide down (mute) but sliding up is unnecessarily difficult and requires some pressure to get grip to slide up which compresses the cushion generating unnecessary pressure on the ear. I don't get why this wasn't just a toggle button or something as I prefer something that's easy to enable AND disable quickly. Maybe I'm being an idiot, it's been a long week so I'm hoping it's just me not being sensible with it but will see.

Audio wise they seem pretty good I don't have significant complaints, much better than the A50s I had for wireless and surprisingly close to my wired setup that is an a90, schiit bifrost and hifiman Anandas . I only got these really to use with my sim rig easily but I think I'll be making them my main driver for day to day work and gaming as well so I'd call that a win but I'll see how it goes over the week.

While it sounds critical in some places I'd say this is a pretty good effort from audeze, well done those involved.
