On the matching note, because I’m not trying to suggest it’s a big issue, it’s unnoticeable in many situations. Typically it hasn’t been an issue for me. And again, it could just be my unit. I still love it overall.

Whenever anyone has time to skip a couple Netflix shows, I just uploaded my review. It's incredibly long (~38min), but I added chapters for convenience. The mic performance with Filter technology is insane. If you only have 2 minutes to spare, just watch the mic chapter! Sorry for the length (my original video was past an hour so I re-filmed). Hope you find it helpful!

Thanks for the honest review. I mentioned the soundstage wasn't great and I got cooked lol. It's a great headset, but there's nothing wrong with mentioning some of the few shortcomings.

For me, I'll probably keep it just off the mic alone. Hopefully EQ can improve footstep performance, if not I'll get the VZR Model One as a 2nd driver.

It’s all good. Compared to an Astro headset, it has superior sound stage. Compared to an open back or model one, a little less so. That’s totally fine though, as you mentioned. I really love how it sounds over every other wireless headset.

That was easily the best gaming headset review and one of the best reviews I have ever watched. Excellent work. I don't even do much gaming but I want to check the Maxwell out now.

Soundstage - This is very tricky. Our goal wav to have very accurate non exaggerated soundstage. We also have to keep in mind that a lot of people will use this with Tempest audio and Dolby Atmos. So if we have exaggerated sound stage, things don't sound good on Atmos and it can get blurry. Our goal was to provide a very accurate sound stage and I think Maxwell offers pretty accurate soundstage.

I really appreciate your response, and comment on this! I agree and understand where you're coming from. Part of what makes the tonality so good is how the upper mid range and treble region is tuned, and I certainly wouldn't have wanted to lose that. Using Dolby Atmos with Performance mode on can help expand the virtual space a bit, but typically just using Game mode with performance mode off sounds great. As mentioned before this took the top slot for me for best wireless gaming headset, so it seems those efforts paid off.

I have a question regarding these headphones and 3D audio. I know various movie watching questions have been asked in this space although it didn't quite suit my needs so I will describe my use and someone can enlighten me.
I am after a headphone that offers 3D audio for watching films on my TV. I can connect the headphone either by USB or eArc or wireless from my Sony TV.
Will one of these Maxwell phones be up to the task or do I need to wait for Audeze to replace the Mobius one day?
I know about the Symth Realizer A16 although it's really expensive. From what I've read the Mobius would fit the bill or do I have this wrong?

Just curious why the AptX codecs are not included, any specific rationale or just a design choice?
