I think this calls for a new series of photos: LCD-XCs on transit!

My humble addition:

Yeah, 'humble' is the right word to describe it

What Audeze cans can do with people, damn!

They actually look quite small on your head. Lol I could never do it. You are a brave man. I mean taking the XC’s for transit travel???!! Wow.
Personally I The XC’s Are an at home use headphone only.
This coming from a guy who wears IEMS to work. Lol.

Bubinga grill finally finished. Needed 7 coats of paint and sanding :)

Love the sound :)
Also tried with carbon fiber one.

So one can have open and closed can at once with XC :)

That looks so outstanding.
Pretty cool. This way you’ve got 2 types of headphones in one.
Smart play. :)

That wood version is the one to die for. Seriously, looks ridiculously good. Great work!

@MIR05LAV Have you had a chance to test your version of an X versus the official? (can't remember if you mentioned this before)

Hi, unfortunately haven't got a chance yet. Would need to use the same dampening material to see if there is any difference because of the grille alone. Original material is glued to the grill if I am not mistaken?

Hehe making wood grill is not hard, but laquering is a pain in the @$$ :) my friends father did it for us, it took like 5 days, 7 coats, waiting, sanding etc. :) all because it these thin elements, you can't use one thick coat like normally.

Carbon fibre is easier, all you need is to cnc :)

Seriously, man. I'll take a dozen of each! You don't even have to apply the finish to the wood grills. I have the patient of a saint. :)
