They actually look quite small on your head. Lol I could never do it. You are a brave man. I mean taking the XC’s for transit travel???!! Wow.
Personally I The XC’s Are an at home use headphone only.
This coming from a guy who wears IEMS to work. Lol.

Hi, I am using akg k240 foam - https://www.spectrumaudio.com/akg-2260z0901-insert-for-akg-k240-headphones/ + some fabric/photo material from @EvilKillaruna.
Will also experiment with felt pads (https://www.amazon.com/Self-Stick-F...felt+pad&qid=1564566022&s=gateway&sr=8-1&th=1)

Hi, unfortunately haven't got a chance yet. Would need to use the same dampening material to see if there is any difference because of the grille alone. Original material is glued to the grill if I am not mistaken?

Yeah these are smoking. You should start selling these.

Hehe making wood grill is not hard, but laquering is a pain in the @$$ my friends father did it for us, it took like 5 days, 7 coats, waiting, sanding etc. all because it these thin elements, you can't use one thick coat like normally.

Carbon fibre is easier, all you need is to cnc
