I can’t find any of these available for sale. It looks like the Burson Audio HA-160 Soloist SL and Violectric V200 are no longer in production. I’m located in Ukraine, and I also haven’t been able to find the JDS EL here. Budget is definitely a key factor for me as well.

Hey guys,
I'm trying to figure out a suitable EQ for Movies and TV Shows for my LCD-X (2021). I've asked ChatGPT to research the frequency response and sound signature of the 2021 LCD-X and it came up with this EQ as a starting point. Can you guys help me determine if it's actually good or do you maybe use an EQ that's even better? This EQ sounds decent at best but I feel like there's a lot more to get out of these cans. I'd love an EQ with rumbling sub bass and punchy bass while keeping mids and highs as clean and detailed as possible without any sign of muddiness.

Side note: I'm using IFI ZEN Stack (CAN & DAC) with TrueBass and xBass enabled.

After a week of use, I find the LCD-X to be quite well-tuned, and I believe they don't really need an equalizer, except bass shelf - or maybe two bass shelves.

I guess that depends very much on what your definition of 'good' means.
However, I recently bought THIS one, and I'm really very very happy with it. It's really soft and doesn't send any friction noise to the earcups, the mini-xlr connectors are not stiff, and I'm using it instead of the house cable with the 4Z and X - very happily.

I got mine as 4metres and with a 4.4 connector at the source end, but they do 4pole XLR as well.

I've owned some openheart cables, they are good sounding for their price, but not more. Openheart will mute SQ a bit on LCD-X.

I think these are mutually exclusive things.

I guess I need to find high quality balanced copper wire.

I think the impact of the cable will be minimal; it’s much more important to find a suitable amplifier. I’ve tried connecting the LCD-X directly to a phone, to a built-in PC sound card, and to a Presonus studio sound card. The sound was different each time, but in every case, it was terrible. The claim that these headphones can be plugged into any jack is a bull. Low impedance means nothing. It need an amplifier with good circuitry and quality components.

I noticed lack of LCD-X and PB5 combo in the thread.
LCD-X are my daily drivers for more than a year already with EQ that is being personalized more and more from time to time. Added PB5 few months ago and my experience only got better, bass has improved and the tubes really do LCD-X justice for presentation, PB5 having a low output impedance also works quite well with such an easy to drive headphones, keeping the music clear.
