Does anyone have the parametric EQ settings for the Toneboosters EQ on USB Audio Player Pro? Thanks for your help.
Below is what I use. It can be found on the AutoEQ site here:Does anyone have the parametric EQ settings for the Toneboosters EQ on USB Audio Player Pro? Thanks for your help.
Thank you very much!I can’t seem to find my post where I had shared my EQ settings I used on my LPG for the i4. But it was something like this:
Filter 1: LSF, F=160Hz, Q=1, Gain=+3dB
Filter 2: Peak, F=1400Hz, Q=1, Gain=-4dB
Filter 3: Peak, F=3000Hz, Q=1, Gain=+10dB
Filter 4: Peak, F=10000Hz, Q=1, Gain=-4dB
Filter 5: None
I don’t recall if the maximum Q value Lotto supports was 1 or 1.5. But if you can go upto 1.5, use 1.5 for filter 2 and 4.
If SE180 has USB-C, then you can connect the i4 with cipher cable using USB-C to Lightning adapter from Anker. It will automatically apply the EQ in cipher. The downside is you won’t be using SE180’s DAC as it only functions as a digital transport. I don’t know about SE180 but from other models (e.g. SP2K), the EQ in AK DAPs has very minimal effect on sound.Guys, i have to make it clear that I'm a noob when it comes to EQing, I want to buy the Lcdi4 and I have a SE180 dap, does anyone know what settings i should apply on itare the EQ settings the same on all these AK daps? I've also heard that AK daps are useless when it comes to EQing but I have no choice :/ (I also don't use an iphone)
You can always try without EQ. Myself and many others use the i4 and enjoy it with any EQ. Despite what some insist, EQ is a choice and not a requirement for the i4 to sound ‘good’.Guys, i have to make it clear that I'm a noob when it comes to EQing, I want to buy the Lcdi4 and I have a SE180 dap, does anyone know what settings i should apply on itare the EQ settings the same on all these AK daps? Ah thanks, I guess you’re right. Just checked the website, and they only include the bluetooth cipher. Perhaps they’ve somewhat modified the tuning with the more recent production runs. I bought mine when it was first released in 2017, so maybe there’s a difference.Audeze has stopped production of the cipher cable for i4, BTW. In case anyone did not know. But to your point, the cipher cable gives the easiest way to accomplish top notch sound from a portable solution point of view.
