Did AB with black dragon last night.... grand is more air... better highs.... needs some time to burn in.... black dragon is smoother.... less upper frequency.... grand demo a great cable.... I can see each adding their own flavor.... black dragon more laid back. I’d say grand adds about another 3%... cables are small but these tweaks add up.

Although it's sliver-plated copper and I prefer pure copper, I think the stock 4z cable is not bad. Definitely not worth the $600 they actually sell it for, but, not bad.

Me left side headphone pops/cracks if I put them on too fast or shake my head too fast. I guess I gotta send them in to be checked/fixed.

Actually I think this cable sound similar to ZMF Atmos, which is price much lower at around $250 (now discontinued though).
So you really nailed the point, not bad, but too expensive.

I've heard this noise from other (non Audeze) planar headphones. Not really an issue to me.

i'm not sure if related but @Currawong 's review of susvara (another planar) also mentions some crackling early on
either way I would follow this up @Ciggavelli a with audeze, if not just to "log in" this issue with them
anyone drive the 4Z with the Dave??? enough power??? i have the TT2 and mscaler which drive it wonderfully.... was thinking of upgrading to the dave... any input would be appreciated!
Yes, definitely enough power. Darko has a video of that exact combo. I run mine off a Hugo 2 with a lot of extra headroom.

I bet Dave would be insane with this thing. What do you feel tt2 is not doing enough for them? Just curious
yes i also have an H@ as well... abd its a wonderful mobile pairing... however the tt2 has more meat and space.... hoping I get this and more withthe DAVE.
they sound awesome with tt2 mscaler.... im just curious about the dave... as they sound great with hugo 2 + 2GO... then you go to mTT2 and they get 20% better... a bud with mDAVE said it was 50% better than H2... so sounds like a nice bump.
