Audeze LCD-4

Oh yes they mentioned the $1200 😂 but yeah I basically just want to confirm if it’s in spec and I just don’t like the headphone whatsoever OR there is something legitimately wrong with the drivers. And in that case, I will fix them. But given how much I enjoy the LCD-2 and LCD-3, I just can’t imagine the former is the case 🤷
What I can say is that the LCD 4 offers the best vocals, bass, resolution, imaging, timbre and midrange compared to the LCD 2 & 3. There shouldn't be a hesitation or weirdness with them so has to be some issue with the drivers. I would send it to their service team to see if it is an issue with the drivers and make a decision from there.

I think you'd really like them. I rebought mine after selling them, even sold my Immanis & Susvara. Very involving headphone, especially like the bass and vocals.

Similarly, I owned a copy, stupidly sold it, regained my senses, and rebought another copy. I think there is something off w/ your pair.

Just got a pair of LCD-4s and I feel like I'm going insane--they are borderline unlistenable. I can't come to any definitive conclusion other than that they sound very off and unnatural. I'm beginning to think there is a channel imbalance(s) somewhere in the frequency range. The left side feels more dynamic than the right side, and its totally throwing me off. The soundstage is more enveloping (to me) rather than out in front, so its hard to pinpoint exact center when going through a tone generator at varying frequencies to help diagnose.
Are you in the US? If so, I'd reach out to Audeze and ask them to check your pair of LCD-4 for you.
