The stock cable does sound quite good. Amazing how much Audeze is charging for it on their website.

Ears are still ringing from the LCD-4/Milo combination. Find them to be a perfect match. Have the Milo's volume pot at 5 O'clock... might be too loud.

I tried the above link but I am not able to get signed up for the Classified section on Headfi Perhaps because I am Canadian?. I never had a problem with the use of headfi or any of the other forums.

The release Version with 100Ohm drivers had a high failure rate, it's rumored they did sound even better though.

Everything with 200 Ohm drivers is fine QC wise

Didn't they release, like, 5 100 ohm versions, and all of them were recalled?

I have the 100 ohm version and have never had a lick of trouble.

As an FYI: LCD-4 drivers can be replaced. However, note that if you have a 100ohm LCD-4, (it'll have cocobolo wood, not massacar ebony), if you need a driver repair, they will use the newer LCD-4 drivers with the higher impedance. We do not have 100ohm LCD-4 driver replacements.

In general we can replace any LCD drivers with latest spec drivers. So we do not have old pre-fazor LCD2/3 drivers, old LCD-X/XC pre-2021 drivers, LCD-4 100ohm drivers, etc.

Cocobolo and macassar ebony wood are not too different from the looks.
Could you please post typical pictures to help identify those.

Background:
My LCD-4 is 2nd hand, I don’t know it’s complete history, even the serial was lost by the former owner while changing the headband.
BTW: AUDEZE made a great service on it and I’m very thankful for the outcome.

In my case, no problems, all , with the 200-ohm LCD-4.
