The carbon grills look awesome. I think I prefer over stock.I have been using the LCD-4 more frequently in recent days, due to the added comfort of the pilot pad. Now that the weather is improving I found myself being distracted by the glare coming off the chrome sides of the LCD-4, when I move my head while working behind my desk... Talk about first world problems, right?
Anyway, I think I found a pretty good 'solution' to this 'problem'. I purchased a carbon version of the grilles from a nice headfier. 'Problem' solved!

They were made by a fellow headfier, @MIR05LAV. Not sure he wants to make more, but you can ask him.Does carbon grilles look awesome, can I ask where you got them?
Now that the Meze Elite is released, this is the next headphone I am looking forward to.My friend was shown a pic of LCD5 (not CRBN). So it is coming this year or next.
You took one person’s five second stunt on lcd-5 as truth? Dnceclectic may have said it but doesn’t really warrant coming in here and turning it into a story. My friend was shown a pic of LCD5 (not CRBN). So it is coming this year or next.
Have you heard tc?I feel the same. I tried Susvara, MySphere, Final D8000, Sennheiser HD800/800S, Empyrean, even mighty Sony MDR-R10, but LCD-4 are the only stable member in my collection, which I'm not willing let go anytime soon. Each headphones I just mentioned had its own strengths, but listening experience with the LCD-4 is simply unparalleled. But who knows, maybe LCD-5 will come out soon and I will change my mind, or Sennheiser will finally release successor to the HD800 and we all we be blown away by its performance![]()
It was confirmed on Roon's forum that MQA full unfold would not work with linear filter because of large time delays.A question for those using Roon. I have never used EQ because my system was not computer based. I decided to do the Roon trial to give the Audeze presets a try. Earlier in this thread a couple people recommended the Linear setting over the Low Latency setting and I believe Audeze says it is more transparent. When I use the Linear setting my DAC(dCS Rossini) no longer makes the full MQA unfold. No matter what I try it is limited to 96hz. Am I doing something wrong or are the presets limited in this manner? Just did this last night so the verdict on Roon and the presets is a work in progress.
I've seen your comments on other threads on the Odyssey.... Looks fantastic and I bet it sounds even better than it looks. This is LCD4 here and now. I don't need to speculate on a LCD5 because this Audeze sound amazing with Odyssey.
