I have my LCD-3 at Audeze getting new drivers installed. A friend of mine was over and cranked the volume ridiculously high.
So... your friend will cover it?

Some friend, who now won’t be able to hear you swear at them!😉

How often does Audeze do their b-stock sales?
You might also look at the classifieds, these are popular enough headphones there’s usually something second hand available.

Just be careful. You may end up like me, keeping both, after you discover that they are surprisingly different. I'll look forward to your comparison!

I wasn't planning on selling either

Dude broke your $2000 headphones and hasn't offered to repair them? Or at least chip in? Dafuk?
Nope. He said they must’ve been ready to go.

In actuality he simply pushed the volume too high on my Lake People G109S (default 0 gain setting with volume turned to 75% of maximum). I rarely go beyond half volume because it gets too painful.

I would be pissed if my friend killed something that expensive. How long is it going to take Audeze to repair them? Mine still haven't got there I sent them FedEx ground. I have the LCD2C on my head right now so no big rush to get the LCD2 back.

They’ve been there for a week waiting for their turn. I have the LCD-2C as well.

Hey guys, I've got Xduoo TA-20 amp and I have it for several weeks. It feels a bit underwhelming with LCD-2C. What amps do you have that you feel have a really good synergy with LCD-2C?
The Little Dot 1+ with Brimar tubes was brutally good for me.
Wet yet fat, great midrange, bass was also very good.
It's outdated but still good, even better with an OPA Burson V5i.

Also popular is the Monoprice Liquid Platinum if you have the money for it.
As a SS AMp the Rupert neve Rh something.

The best pairing for me is with my Pathos Aurium (with Sbooster power supply). Sounds much better than my Aune X7S (balanced) and my Marantz HD-DAC1 (single-ended).

I really like the schiit lyr 3 with a vintage foton tube from the 50s.

I use a THX789 balanced

Others have suggested the Schiit Jotunheim 2 balanced as well

It is not about "loudness", it is more about control
