Hi,
 
I've got a set of Audeze LCD-2's and am wondering if they're the Fazor or pre Fazor model. Date on the authenticty ticket is 2/5/2014.

if they have bass and sound warm then they are prefazor. 
 
if they sound colder and more neutral, then they are fazored

Can't say that's very helpful since I have limited experience with headphones but thanks anyway.

Have you tried e-mailing Audeze? I'd imagine they should be able to assist.
 
I don't own a pair myself but perhaps there is a revision number on the shipping box or literature that might help too. Possibly ending with an 'F' if it's a Fazor?

Yeah I've emailed them, just waiting for a response. There's a barcode on the case and serial number on the certificate, neither end in an F.

It's pretty simple, touch the inside of the cup, if you feel ridges that stick out, kind of sharp, it's fazor and if it's completely flat it' not. 
 
Since your's are 2014 it will be fazor and it's unfortunately one of the more inconsistent batches of fazor with the bass roll off.

That easy eh? Yeah seems like it's the Fazor model.

This is why I've avoided Audeze - too many revisions and changes to the headphones, makes me a bit uncomfortable with the product.

It makes me uncomfortable too, how you can change the core sound of a product so much, call it the same headphone and not offer the older model.  I don't want to own the LCD-2F and think what could have been, but i also don't want to buy two ~700 headphones used either.
