Audeze CRBN 2

Anyone tried a CRBN 2 with BHSE? Thoughts?

I have the Blue Hawaii BJT on the left but in silver:

I couldn't hear any difference between the HeadAmp BHSE and that Blue Hawaii on the X9000.

When I first got the X9000 in I listened off the Carbon then out of curiosity I put on the Blue Hawaii and I was like "oh I get it". It sounds smoother and a bit more laid back.

Either amp powers them very well.

Superstar if you are so belated with the CRBN 2 (I'm happy if you are) they why hang onto X9K

I have no need to sell it, also to me the CRBN2 is like a turbo charged 007mk2

I see you have 007MKII. Can you compare it to those? I have those currently and can't decide X9000 or CRBN 2

If you really like the 007, you more than likely would prefer a CRBN over the x9000. The x9k is much different, whereas the 007 shares more similarities with it. I'm not speaking to the CRBN2 as I haven't heard it, but it looks like it's still generally similar to the original.

I agree. The X9000 "does its own thing" kinda like the Senn HD800 or the Sony MDR-SA5000 back in the day. They are unique.

I see you're already starting to use the same philosophy in planars as well :) - sure the relevant thread will be up soon.
The technology is equally applicable to planar magnetic headphones too, all our headphones achieve good bass with a very good seal, SLAM helps equalize this pressure not only boosting the low end but also instantly making them sound more open and improves clarity and resolution too by reducing distortions. What is interesting is it will work equally well for closed back too without affecting passive isolation much.

OMG - The 200ohm 4slam

At the mere thought of that I'm sinking into a luxury beanbag chair of bass heaven, with improved clarity and resolution.
So I'm not the only dreaming of that!
