I just wondered how many of you (and this is not limited to just Sony players with remote jacks) use an inline remote to control your player and to carry it (the player) without it being noticed by would-be thieves (and they are out there)
I myself use one with all of my units, but also it works well with my FiiO E5 hooked between any on my cans (all of them are a minimum of 24 ohms) and the phones out jack on the remote. It is the only way that I can use my MDR-NC60 NC phones with it, as they are 40 ohms even with the NC on (100 ohms w. NC off).
Otherwise, because my players only put out 5 mW, I would have no choice but to use either earphones or my arsenal of IEM's (all Sony and all are 16 ohms).
