Atrio M5 vs UM1

Well if you listen to Anything with a chord in it, just try and find the better priced IEM. But as the M5 is known for is "BASS" and the UM1 seems to lack it by alot more.

I initially aimed to get the SE530 but I realized how much I was spending on a pair of headphones. ($350) I know that more expensive phones are better but UM1 seems to be the "sweet spot" for under $150.

I had a pair of SE530's and they honestly had a great sound, but it was to in your head and not enough Soundstage for me, also the bass was sort of average. I like my Yuin PK2's alot more even though they arent an IEM. For around $200 and below the SA6 could be something to look at since they get alot of praise. But since your going to choose out of the M5/UM1, id go with the M5 since i like bass

The bass on my Atrio M5s is great. I've been wearing them for almost an year on my daily commutes, and don't think about getting another IEM. In fact, if my M5s stopped working today, I'd buy another pair.

Under $150? You can get Etymotic ER-4Ps for that price. That'd be the sweet spot.

UM1s shouldn't cost more than $110.

I've owned both and I have to go with the Atrios on this one. I think they handle everything I've thrown at them sufficiently enough. The UM1s while being more comfortable could just not offer the same level of enjoyment accross all the genres that I listen to.

X2, M5 in a landslide. And I have owned and sold both. Also, cnsider the Sleek SA6 as well. Near (or some say better) SE530 performance for $194. Not more more than the Atrios, but a better all-round performer.
