  Audio-GD NFB-15.32 external DAC/Amp

Primarly for me a Hifiman HM801 and iBasso pb2

but I have an Audio GD NFB 10ES2 at home

when my w1000x get's balanced I may use it at home more often

Thanks, folks!!

So, it appears that the W1000X works well with many DACs/amps.  I use a Peachtree Nova and sometimes Aune + Peachtree Nova and it sounds very good too.

Fearless, did you have the BDA-1 before the BDA-2?
I have the BDA-1 and am curious if the BDA-2 sounds as musical and natural as the BDA-1, or if its more detailed and clean sounding.

No, I had the Bifrost Uber and a Rega DAC. I keep the Rega around because I actually prefer it with the HD800, but the DAC 2 is just spectacular with everything else.

Either one of these should work with the ATH-W1000X right?

Is there even a difference between the two?

Probably just the type of leather.  I haven't tried the W5000 in a long time so I can't remember the quality of the leather, but I can say I do like the leather pads on the W3000ANV.  Padding is a little stiffer than my L3000 pads, so it does a slightly better job keeping the driver away from your ear.  L3000 pads are softer and more supple, conforming more easily if the area around your ears are not flat.

Also, was there mention of the HiFiMAN pads fitting the W1000X as well?  I couldn't find it in this thread, but I thought I saw that at some point.  Unless it is in this thread and I completely glazed over it.

They fit the W1000X without problems. I believe it's been posted somewhere in here.
Anyway I am the one who tested it... So there :)

That might've been me. The Hifi-man leathers and velours fit very well. I've also recently discovered the dirt cheap HM5 pads from Brainwavz. A lot more supple and gives a bit more space between the driver and your ear. I feel like it bumps the sub-bass a little bit (it still rolls off though).

The L3000 Pads give the sub a bump as well, but ofc they cost $100 xD

Oh my W1000x should be sent off for recabling this week!
