[NH27]

I've noticed the ATHM50's are pretty much universally recommended here, but how do they compare to the PRO700's?

The PRO700's are cheaper, and from their more expensive list price and better specs appear to be a higher end model. I want to buy them, but is there a reason I don't see them recommended here? I just want to make sure I'm not in for any nasty surprises.

I mainly listen to rock, but I have a little of pretty much every genre. I like a big, deep, rich sounding bass (more than most golden eared audiophiles) but they can't be lacking in detail either.
 
I will mainly use them with my computer, but will they sound ok being driven by my iPod touch? Eventually I may invest in a portable amp, but right now I don't see the need as I use my Klipsch S4's whenever I'm out of the house.

For pop-rock (japan pop-rock) I like PRO700 More than M50. I feel that mid section in M50 is a bit too reccesed, while PRO700 will bring the rock song more energic and lively.
