ATH M50 vs Bose QC15 (Sound Quality Comparison ONLY)

Hello All!
 
I'm new to this whole headphone thing. I have a very simple question to ask:
 
Based solely on sound quality (so noise cancellation and price not a factor), which has better overall sound quality? ATH M50 or the QC15.
 
All the discussions this forum seem to reference price and noise cancellation... but I just want to know which has better overall sound quality, in an average environment (like your bedroom).

Thanks for the input guys! I appreciate it! This is going to be my first over-$30 headphones purchase lol, so I know anything is going to impress me. Thats why I wanted to get the recommendation of the more experienced ears lol.

Huge recommendation for the M50s, as long as you're ok with a little bass emphasis.  Best value audio purchase I've made in a long time!

If you don't need the noise-canceling then go for M50.
