Good call. They are also light as a feather.. To get a can with a bigger and wider horizontal sound stage would cost you between 560-1,200.

Amazon has the Audio Technica ATH-AD700 for $85.65, may have to give them a try for gaming.

I have bought both the AD700's and today I just got the Sony MDR F1's. These are my first real headphones so take that for what it's worth. The AD700's are really big, but comfortable, although if I move much, they don't stay on my head well. I have the Sony's on now, and they are certainly comfortable and much smaller. Soundwise, I don't know yet, I'm going to try Bioshock and some movies tonight and get back to you. BTW, I paid about 165.00 for the Sony's lightly used, and I thought that was a good deal. For 85, you should try out both, which is what I'm doing.

Good deal. I paid 220 new. What amp are you using? For overall SQ, I'm not sure which is better, but the MDR F1s has more high end attributes..Spatial awareness. Superior 3d sound stage. Great horizontal depth, width, and extension.

This is regarding the AD700.
