After about 5 owners and many years of service, one of the headbands has snapped off of my ATH-AD2000s and left a nice scratch. Is there any hope of getting a replacement here in the US or should I try my luck with J-B Weld?
 
The plastic towards the inside has been partially removed in this photo so I could get a better look. It snapped right at the screw.

I checked with Audio-Technica and that one piece is ~$70. 

Do I have a decent chance at J-B welding it or should I shell out for the proper part? I have a feeling that the first option would prevent me from ever taking the second.
