I received mine a couple of days ago as well. I'm using it with my balanced LCDi4. While the "naked" SP1000 was able to drive them at a satisfactory level, the little Audezes really seem to enjoy the added power a lot! The result is a sound which is difficult to believe it would be possible from such a little package.

Ofc the SP1000+AMP coupling is a bit on the heavy side, but that's not a surprise nor a problem for me, as this setup is mostly meant to be used when on holydays (hotels and so on) and not when walking around.
The fixation isn't 100% perfect: when moving the whole one feels there's just a tiny bit of play with that rear screw. That obviously completely disappears when the included case is used.

Spec'd power output is good desktop level. Hard to believe they could achieve that within the form factor of the device.

How I transform vrms to compare for example with chord hugo 2. Aek show power output in vrms and hugo 2 1kHz 1% THD: 94mW 300Ω

Got SP1000amp yesterday, paired with sp1000, HD800s was connected at high gain balanced 2.5 trrs (using 4.4 stock cable with adapter), at 90 volume level is already enough for my listening satisfaction. It drives hd800s can beautifully. I'm so happy with this purchase.

Good to know. I receive the amp todsy but only will pick sp1000 thursday. I will connect this combo with Verite Closed Ironwood, when I receive this. Probably will have juice enough to drive them. Cant wait.

Ironwood still in produce. Probably only receive in december. When I get this I will give some impressions here.

Since 3 days owning this combo and all 3 days only stick with HD800S. imhb this combo SP1000+SP1000amp is the best portable gear for HD800S.

Thanks. I think I found the equation. W=Vrms x Vrms/R. So if R is 300ohms, like Verite C, is 10 x 10/300. So give 0,333W or 333mW in sp1000 amp in high gain from balanced. I think thats a lot of power.

Good to know. Verite C is 300 ohms too. So this combo probably will not have problem to drive VC properly. Hope soon listen to taste the synergy between them.
